TruNorth Bank Supports Local Food Pantries through Annual Neighbors Helping Neighbors Fundraiser
TruNorth Bank is kicking off its 2026 Neighbors Helping Neighbors fundraiser in support of local food pantries, starting October 1st. Launched in 2003 by bankHometown, now a division of TruNorth Bank, 2026 marks the first time all efforts fall under the TruNorth Bank name following the company rebrand earlier this year.
TruNorth Bank will be continuing its pledge to match donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,500 per customer. In 2025, the campaign raised $213,700 through contributions and matching donations. Since the inception of Neighbors Helping Neighbors, local area food pantries have received $950,000 in total donations.
Through this annual drive, TruNorth Bank partners with bank customers, employees, and community members to help fight food insecurity. This year, the bank will be dividing all donations among a total of 56 food pantries across the communities it serves in Massachusetts, Northeastern Connecticut, and Southern New Hampshire.
“Our Neighbors Helping Neighbors program exemplifies how communities can come together to help others in need,” said Matthew S. Sosik, CEO of TruNorth Bank. “TruNorth Bank is proud to lead this annual giving tradition. We thank everyone who selflessly gives each year.”
Donations will be accepted through October 31 via check or cash, and any amount is appreciated. Those who donate will also be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card, which will be awarded at each of the bank’s 54 locations.
Contributions made by check should be made payable to “TruNorth Bank Neighbors” and can be dropped off at any branch location across TruNorth Bank.
