Henry “Hank” Downey has spent more than 23 years helping businesses secure the financing and guidance they need to grow and succeed. Throughout his career, he has built strong relationships with business owners by understanding their goals and providing lending solutions that support both their success and the communities they serve. Now serving as Vice President, Commercial Lending at bankESB, Hank brings extensive commercial banking experience and a commitment to helping local businesses thrive. Before joining bankESB, Hank held commercial lending leadership roles at Florence Bank, Chicopee Savings Bank, and TD Bank. He earned his bachelor’s degree in international & political economy from Fordham University and his MBA from the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management. He also completed the Risk Management Association’s School for Personal Development. Hank is passionate about community involvement and has volunteered with Springfield School Volunteers since 2012, while also serving in leadership roles with the Kiwanis Club of Springfield. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, running, golfing, and a little friendly competition through games of Uno and backyard wiffle ball.
